We focus on building relationships with teams, executives, and players to ensure that we negotiate the best possible deal for you that we can.

Contract Enforcement: Once your contract has been negotiated and signed it is important to have the ability to enforce it. When a dispute arises over compensation, discipline, injury, or other type of grievance, a player advisor must have the skills to present the player’s case at an arbitration hearing or in a court room. At HSM we have an extensive trial and arbitration background which has given us the necessary skills and tools to advocate effectively for your rights.

Endorsements: While excelling in your sport and advancing within your organization is first and foremost, once you have established yourself within the league we will take an aggressive approach in securing endorsement opportunities for you. We will research suitable companies and reach out to them for proposals and offers which we will then negotiate on your behalf. Endorsements can be a valuable source of income for you well into your non-playing days.

Legal Advice: Over the years we have learned it is tremendously beneficial to our clients to provide legal services in a broad range of areas. While other agents are unable to provide this, we feel it is simply part of our duty. These services range from real estate advice, to estate planning, to advice relative to a player’s workers compensation claim, and everything in between.

Financial Services: Financial planning is a critical part of a professional athlete’s career because it is important during, and long after your playing career has passed. While some agents may offer to negotiate your contract and invest your money, we believe that approach is not in your best interests as a player or an individual. Over the course of our 23+ years of representing athletes we have developed an extensive network of quality financial professionals who have many years of experience working with athletes.
